My name is Lauren. I live in a small town in Nevada, and am a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children: a 4-yr-old son, a 2-yr-old daughter, and another son that was just born early in June 2014! What a joy (and sometimes a challenge) they are! I love them with all my heart! I have been married to my husband for 5 years now. He is my strength, and supports me in everything I do.
So what do I do? I enjoy reading, baking, sewing, horseback riding (no, I don't own horses...I wish I did!), and decorating/DIY projects when I can. But mostly I spend my time trying to raise good, responsible, Christ-loving children. Not an easy task, but definitely a worthy one! My days are filled with stinky diapers, messes to clean, and sticky food in my hair; but I wouldn't trade my kids, or the opportunity I have to raise them, for the world.
Hello there, blogging world! Allow me to introduce myself; I'm Chanel,
the middle of the three sisters here. I love cooking, baking (mostly
cupcakes), reading, wakeboarding, and being awesome. In April 2014 I
graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.
After that I moved down to Salt Lake City to join the ranks of
real-life-adulthood. It's not as easy as I thought! As a teenager I
fantasized about living on my own, having a job and a place of my own,
being able to do/eat/cook/say whatever I want. Now that last part is
great! If I want to make cupcakes at midnight, no one can stop me. If I
want to be lazy and sit around in basketball shorts and no makeup all
day, the door is wide open. It's the other stuff that you never think
about that's rough. Job hunting, apartment hunting, living on oats and
PB&J...it's a joy! But all in all, I value everything that I've
learned in all the transitional stages of my life. Change is hard, but
it forces you to grow. I'm a firm believer in that! But ANYWAY, back
to introducing myself, I am now working as an Interior Designer at a
commercial furniture dealer in Salt Lake and it has been awesome so far! I'm
excited to keep learning and working here. I was also recently married in December of 2014. My husband is my favorite person in the world and I am so happy we get to spend our lives together! So there you have it; a bit about me and a tangent about
life. I think my work here is done!
Hi! I'm Chara Gardemann! I'm 16 years old and I love running, acting,
hiking, dancing, singing, and spending time with friends and family! I
am so excited to get started on this blog because I have never gotten to
do anything like this before. Let's see here, what else about me... I
have celiac disease so you get a lot of gluten free recipes from me! I
am also lactose intolerant and I cannot eat rice, potatoes, or beans. It
makes life interesting and forces me to remember that God is in
control. I live in a growing little town in the middle of Oregon. In my
not so distant future, I am excited to graduate high school, go on a
mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I turn
19, go to college and then hopefully get married and raise a family of
my own. The church is a very large part of my life and I love everything
about it. I hope that this blog can be of use to some one out there and
that we can brighten the lives of many of God's children.
